Thank You Kings Kids Teachers!

Trudi.
Refreshing the refreshers!

At the end of 2010, the King's Kids teachers each received a mint plant as token of appreciation, along with a recipe for refreshing mint tea.  The symbolism of refreshing the refreshers is beautiful.  As a parent of a few of the King's Kids, I wish to add my voice in thanks to these wonderful workers in Christ, as I am certain other parents would!

Our Loft Classroom

We'd been wanting to do this for more than two years...
A classroom space for our teens so that they weren't out in the canvassed in "stoep" in the winter months. We were going to replace the canvas with bricks and we raised the funds and wanted to get it going!

Then the council said "No."

Things kind of slowed down and we talked a bit about a mezzanine floor in the foyer, but nothing happened. Enter Gavin Tucker with skill, persuasive powers and passion. Gavin got the Building Committee together, chased down contractors and then the crashing and bashing started! (Much to the office staff's heart-attacks!)

Hilario Ribeiro was our diligent contractor and the end product was reached quickly and we have a stunning space that will double as meeting space, office space, teaching space and, as an unexpected bonus our foyer was facelifted and looks really stunning.

Glory to God and big thanks to Gavin, Hilario, Craig, Ken and many other unsung heroes who helped make this happen!
We sang "To God be the Glory - Great things He has done"
And dedicated the space to God in prayer!

Willow Creek Global Leadership Summit

What a blessing to have an opportunity to attend an event of this caliber... and then to top it all the event is now staged on our doorstep at a fantastic venue, the Hatfield Christian Church.

The lineup of speakers at past summits has been top notch and this past years summit was again absolutely first class: T D Jakes, Jack Welch, Jim Collins etc etc!

All told, the speakers are great, the hosts are first class and the whole event comes together just awesomely, some folks need a day or two to recover from the awe inspiring experiences of the summit!

If you have attended similar seminars before, see you at the 2011 Leadership Summit, you will experience a new benchmark... if you have never attended something like this before, make sure you attend this year’s Summit for the benchmark...

You should even get your boss/company to send you as it is a great investment in development and training!
There were lots of Presbyterians from Pretoria
Witbank and Middleburg there!
